Day One

Welcome to Queenstown, a year-round alpine resort nestled amid steep mountain ranges and pockets of native bush with the jagged peaks of the Remarkables Range rising from the lake below.

The lake was created by glacial action thousands of years ago and a mysterious phenomenon causes the lake to vary several inches in depth every few minutes, giving credence to a Maori legend of an ancient Taniwha (demon) still breathing beneath the surface.

Day Two

Today, explore the Wakatipu Basin and delve into Fiordland by air, sweeping the length of Milford Sound where you can take in unparalleled views of world famous fiord. Upon landing, explore the sound by foot along a well formed track to the Giant Gate waterfall.

Fly back over the Milford Track before having your breath taken away when you first view the 1,798 ft Sutherland Falls. Take in magnificent views of the mountains, glaciers, lakes and forests of the Fiordland National Park on your way back to Queenstown.

Day Three

Unwind, indulge and discover. The Southern Lakes region is famous for its new world wines with the local varietals like Pinot Noir being rated amongst the world’s best. Use today a day to unwind, indulge and discover with perfect combination – a spa and wine day!

Start your day relaxed with a 90 minute spa treatment then it’s off to explore. Enjoy a wine and food paired lunch before touring an underground wine cave. Next, enjoy hosted tastings at 3 boutique wineries before making your way back to your hotel for the evening.

Day Four

Paddle and drift in an inflatable canoe today on a spectacular downstream journey on the Dart River’s sparkling channels. Stop amongst the ancient beech forest and enjoy a delicious wilderness buffet lunch and take the opportunity to explore the hidden side streams, rock pools and dramatic chasms such as the beautiful Rockburn.

Afterwards continue downstream to ‘Paradise’, from where you’ll return to Glenorchy by coach via a back-country route, through stunning scenery and locations that have inspired movies the world over.

Day Five

After breakfast, you’ll depart Queenstown by air to Rotorua, the center of an extensive thermal region. Geysers, bubbling mud pools and steaming, sulphurous lakes give evidence of nature’s frightening yet fascinating power. The rich Maori culture found throughout the region, while Rotorua and the surrounding crater lakes provide some of the world’s best trout fishing.

This afternoon, sail Lake Taupō and marvel at one New Zealand’s most extraordinary contemporary Maori artworks by artist Matahi Brightwell.

Day Six

This morning head to idyllic Okere Falls for your grade 5+ waterfall rafting adventure on the Kaituna River where you will raft over three falls ranging from 3 to 21 feet high.

After lunch, kayak across stunning Lake Rotoiti to the Hot Pools, which are only accessible by boat. Relax and enjoy a soothing soak or a cold plunge in the lake before returning via kayak to the jetty for your transfer back to Rotorua.

Day Seven

On arrival, take a short walk through breath taking New Zealand native bush to the cave entrance. The guide will light candles setting the scene for an intimate cave experience. See glowworms and cave formations up close and appreciate the beauty of Footwhistle Cave (also known to local maori as Te Anaroa Cave). Around a corner lie the bones of one of New Zealand’s lost treasures, the ancient Moa. Lights cast a warm glow over the stunning cave formations as the guide tells of the insect life that lives here – titiwai, the glow worm and tuna, the eel. After enjoying a relaxed stroll through the cave, be seated in Footwhistle’s Cathedral to see it lit up by a dazzling magnesium torch.

Day Eight

Depart Auckland this morning for Fiji. Set in the gorgeous Mamanuca group of islands, Six Senses Fiji has all the trimmings you’ll fall in love with too: miles of white beachfront sand, pristine lagoons, and crystal clear waters gently lapping at a mesmerizing shoreline.

Six Senses Fiji, on Mololo Island, is at the forefront of sustainability, hotel incorporating multi-level strategies, from raising hens for eggs, to replanting native habitat around the island and employing solar energy to desalinate sea water for drinking water.

Day Nine

Tropical Malolo Island is a playground for the over-and-underwater world adventurer, with year-round Fiji activities like surfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing plus nature trails and villages to explore. Arrive with energy. Leave with memories.

Day Ten

You’ve seen the beauty of our underwater world through snorkeling; now you can make use of this experience to help keep it clean as well. Take part in Six Senses underwater clean-up program and help to leave the ocean better than you found it.

Day Eleven

Make time for some Fijian well-being with the calm and rejuvenating benefits of nature. Come to the Alchemy Bar within our Wellness Village to infuse and create your own facial and body scrubs, essential oils, and other aromatic spa products from medicinal plants and herbs grown in our herb garden.

Using aloe vera, neem leaves, papaya, moringa, hibiscus, guava, and local medicinal herbs known as vevedu and vau, this is an immersive experience embodying earth-to-body self-care.

Day Twelve

Visit the onsite Earth Lab, an enriching space for creative and curious minds to better understand our natural world and generate wealth from waste.

Guests can enjoy the novelty of turning junk into jewelry, creating oils, soaps and beeswax, crafting coasters from invasive tree species and other upcycling methods. Creating and collaborating in the lab is a fun and immersive way to better appreciate Earth’s resources and our responsibility as world citizens to minimize waste and conserve our environment.

Day Thirteen

As the old adage goes, all good things must come to an end. After breakfast, you’ll be taken by private transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.
