Covac Global is a premier evacuation and repatriation service, and is supplemental to traditional travel insurance products. While it may be a rare occurrence that one might need these services, I prefer to know that I am covered in case disaster strikes. I signed up for their Medical & Security Assistance family package which covers myself and my husband in case of any significant injuries or security needs. We are active travelers: scuba diving, hiking, kitesurfing, bungee jumping, visiting obscure places, you name it. It’s important for us to minimize our risk if something goes wrong, and with our membership we do not need to be hospitalized in order to get an evacuation to return to the US, only a fit-to-fly sign off.

Covac Global was also the pioneer in pandemic evacuation assistance, speaking to their vast network of being able to mobilize to help travelers who may otherwise get stuck in foreign countries. They work with private jet companies that convert into air ambulances, equipped with medical equipment and staff. Covac Global will arrange and pay for transportation back to your home country in case of illness, injury, or a security situation. Search & rescue is also included in all memberships. If you have a pre-existing condition, don’t worry, you will be covered. You can either purchase the packages on a per-trip basis, or on an annual basis (like me!).

Travel can be unpredictable, and while we enter our journeys with excitement and anticipation, I feel even more secure knowing Covac Global has my back.
